About Us

Students in 10th-12th grade, at Tri-Cities Christian School, are invited to participate in an annual mission trip to Belize, Central America.

Tri-Cities Christian School has led this mission annually since 1993. Students who have served as short-term missionaries to the people of Belize have the opportunity to be “the hands and feet of Jesus” to a third-world country. This opportunity will provide students with the chance to serve in various activities such as medical and dental clinics, evangelism, feeding programs and construction.

Students who have been a part of this mission often comment that it was a life-changing trip.

TCCS was founded in 1973 as a non-profit educational institution chartered by the  state of Tennessee and operated by a Board of Directors.

TCCS is a nondenominational school that exists for the purpose of providing a genuinely Christian education from preschool through 12th grade.

The first school building occupied by TCCS was located at 1200 East Center Street in Kingsport, TN. Four classrooms rented from the City of Kingsport served as both offices and classrooms for the 27 students in grades 9, 10 and 11 in attendance on opening day in the fall of 1973.

In 2009 TCCS consolidated its elementary schools to the main campus located in Blountville, TN. The Blountville campus now hosts the K4 Junior Eaglet Program in addition to Kindergarten through 12th grade students.

In 2014, TCCS earned accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), which validated the robust programs delivered by the school.

Our School

Located in Blountville, Tennessee, in the center of the Tri-Cities region, Tri-Cities Christian School is a fully accredited, independent, co-educational school for kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are governed by a Board of Directors and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools (TACS). At Tri-Cities Christian School we provide a warm and friendly environment that emphasizes character, values, and academics.

Our Beliefs

The basis of Tri-Cities Christian School is the infallible Word of God, found in both the Old and New Testaments.  We hold to the sovereignty of God, revealed in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  We submit unconditionally to the authority of the Holy Scriptures; thereby, we recognize Scripture as the highest and final standard for Christian education and for all matters of life.  On this basis, we subscribe to the following articles of faith:

  1. We believe that the entire Bible is inspired by God (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21).
  2. We believe mankind was created by the direct act of God (Genesis 2:7).
  3. We believe in the Holy Trinity as one God in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spiri, and that the Holy Spirit is the actively working person of God in the world today.
  4. We believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God   (Romans 5:8; I Peter 2:24; 3:18).
  5. We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord on the third day according to the Scriptures (Matthew 28:6; I Corinthians 15:3-8, 20).
  6. We believe that Jesus Christ is the great High Priest, and intercedes for us. (I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:24-26).
  7. We believe in the pretribulation, premillenial return of our Lord (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
  8. We believe that man is saved by the grace of God alone, and kept by the power of God (Ephesians 2: 8-9; I Peter 1:3-5).
  9. We believe that every truly born-again soul should declare his faith publicly by the act of baptism   (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38-42; Acts 8:36-39).
  10. We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
